Hi Pat,
You're absolutely right, this would be good for pink Saturday. I loved Key West but my pictures weren't nearly as interesting as yours!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Rhonda

Thanks for your comments on my "pink saturday" post. Pink is really not a favorite color of mine, but I've enjoyed the challenge to look for pink things so I can participate in Beverly's group. Your painting would be perfect! It's beatiful and must fill their wall so wonderfully!

Mandy,
That is wonderful information! I'll bet you didn't know I'm into geneology! I've been able to trace my ancestors to the late 1700's but that's about it. Surely someone came over on the Mayflower, we've been in Kentucky since the 1830's so we've been in
America for a long time!. I would love to see the moors, I went to London in the early 80's and really meant to go back but where does the time go? I guess I got lost in working and raising a family. When I went to London, we took several tours to Stratton on Avon, Bath, Stonehenge . . . I want to hear more, more and more.
Rhonda

I love the colours, pink and black are my favourite. I would hang it as four separate pieces slightly apart, that would look fab! X

Hi Rhonda, Im so glad you enjoyed our day trip. I love going out for the day as Im a homebody and dont like to be away from home too long. You would love where I live as there is a lot of history. The area was known for its lead mining which dates back to the 14th century. We did our family tree and my ancestors (my 9th great grandfather) lived in the farmhouse just 4 miles up the road from my home and they lived there in the 1600's so when the locals said me and Mr K were 'incomers' I was able to say 'Well actually I am more 'local' than all the villagers because my family farmed this land for over 200 years. Its really strange to pass the farmhouse each day. They left the area we think in the 1820's and came to Newcastle upon Tyne which is where all of my ancestors have lived ever since so it is strange that I have returned to live where I am as I didnt know any of this information until after I bought my house. (It must be fate) There is also a plaque in the local church dedicated to one of my ancestors who died during the spanish civil war. I have the same surname as him as its my fathers bloodline. Gosh I could go on forever with this story, so I best not bore you with anymore of it. LOL! X
P.S. A relative of mine is supposed to have died on the moors I showed you in my recent post! In those days once the mist and snow came down there would have been no chance of survival if you were stranded, it is very spooky and it comes to my mind everytime I drive over them. X
