Gil’s Sheep
Gil’s Sheep
12 x 12 oil
Rhonda Hartis Smith © 2008
This painting was fun to do mainly because I think sheep are so adorable! They all look so curious, I guess they were checking out the artist snapping pictures of them. The late afternoon sunlight is so nice to paint. This is a 12″x12″ oil.

Oh, I love this painting! How adorable those sheep are. They seem to have been good models for you.
Gil owns the sheep? Lucky Gil.
Paz
Hi Paz!
I’m envious of Gil, wish I had some cute sheep–at least I have the painting to admire them.
Rhonda
Gorgeous painting! Very sweet sheep..you have captured their inquisitiveness perfectly!
I like sheep too, Rhonda…especially little lambs.
That’s a great painting.
You mentioned The Greenbrier. I’ve wanted to go there for years! The closest I’ve been to the Greenbrier is when we stop at Tamarack on the way home from Charleston. They have a Greenbrier restaurant there. I also bought The Greenbriar Cookbook. …..one day!

Rhonda, you are very talented. I admire anyone that can paint what the eye sees. As I scroll down your blog, I am absolutely loving all your paintings. Thank you so much for visiting my blog, and because you did, I can now enjoy your obvious passion!
Thanks Gina, Deborah & Sandra for your kind comments on my little sheep. Being from Kentucky, I feel that I should be able to paint horses. So I'm working on my first horse and will post it when I it looks like a horse should.
Your sheep have such an intense look on their faces. Your have captured them and their feelings so well.
Hi Suzanne,
You are correct, they’re very intense!
Thanks for stopping by.
