Bouquet of Roses

here's a closeup

White roses are a favorite of mine so I wanted to paint a bouquet for the show and I have to admit I really struggle with florals. This is from life but before I could finish it I had to buy more roses and really needed to get a 3rd batch but refused to (lol).

Blossoming Friends

3 panels 12×16 each

This trio is for my November Show at The Gallery at 916. I wanted to use 3 panels and have a continuation of the roses from one panel to another. My Mother-in-Law was kind enough to let me have a couple of roses off her rose bush. I tried to keep it soft and delicate.

Ok guys we have more paintings to name. . .

Pop Art–Flower Power

This piece of art was one of the first commissions that I did. This consists of 4 16×20 canvases. They can be hung together as pictured or you can separate them and put space between. The bedroom is accessorized in pink and black and is gorgeous. The flower has the black background and a pink square was painted on the wall to highlight the “painting”. What a great focal point for the room.

The Rose

This painting is a little different than the others I have posted. This is my 24″x36″ rose. I have to say this is one of the more difficult paintings that I have done. I just couldn’t get it the way I wanted it but eventually I accomplished my goal. This piece was commissioned and the owners, my good friends Debbie and Tim are very happy with it. I think it is a great focal point for the room plus you can see the painting from other rooms in their house. According to Debbie, the painting changes color as the light changes throughout the day–pretty cool!
