Boy with Blue Hat
I love the floppy hat that this boy is wearing–does anyone know what they’re called? He’s found something in the water, perhaps a nice big shell. I’m always afraid a jelly fish will find me! There is a beach that Sandy and I go to on the Gulf side of Florida where you can find shark’s teeth. It’s so much fun to find them but, you have to be quick to pick them up before they disappear into the ocean.

What a sweet painting, Rhonda! I think that’s a fisherman’s hat, I could be wrong though. You’re right about the shark’s teeth disappearing quickly! And that’s just one of the reasons I don’t like to go into the water, jelly fish!

You always see and find most interesting and wonderful subjects to paint on the beach. I like this one, too. I can see that he’s really intrigued at what he’s looking at in the water.
What’s the name of his hat? If you ask me, you’re asking the wrong person because I’d say, “floppy blue hat.” LOL!
I haven’t been to the beach in years but jelly fish would be a reason for me to be really careful in the water. Shark’s teeth would intrigue me but I’d be a little paranoid that there are sharks around. Oh, no! LOL!
Hmmm… I think I’ll enjoy the beach from your lovely paintings, instead.

Hi Sandra & Paz,
I'm always afraid an icky jelly fish will sting me. It's fun looking for the sharks teeth but only if there isn't a shark attached to them (ha). Stay tuned I have even more beach kiddies.

The colours you use on your paintings are so relaxing. This would look so nice on the wall of a beach home.
I am not too fond of jelly fish, or any ocean creature that bites.

Hi Rhonda,
Do you draw with a pencil first and then colour it…
Sorry for the question… but, I`m just so fascinnated with your wonderful work that I wanted to know more!
Keep up with the amazing work that you are doing!

Hi Rhonda! First of all many thanks for your comment on my post of 08.08.08 at 08h08 at Blogtrotter, now in Kos, Greece! It was great to read you there. Second, sorry for the long delay to come here, but August was a terribly busy month, as everybody else seems to be in vacation…
Anyhow, I found sometime now to land here and enjoy your blog. Lovely paintings. Great treat!
Wish you a great weekend!

This is beautiful Rhonda..the colours are so refreshing! The hat is known here as a legionnaires cap!
I too am very wary of jellyfish but have more of a phobia when it comes to crabs! LOL Gxx

Thank everyone for your comments, glad everyone shares my dislike of jellyfish and other creatures that crawl on the beach. Thanks Gina for the name of that cap–I thought they were so cute–I’ll have to get one for myself (ha).
